What Are The Best Pills For Weight Loss?

There are lots of pills out there that advertise weight loss. But it's not easy to find the right one for you. Here are some of the questions that I hear over and over.

“I want to lose some weight. What pills can I take?”

“Can I try green tea coffee extract?”

“Can I try phentermine?”

“Do you have anything that has a fat burner that can help me lose weight?”

“Can I try Raspberry Ketones?”

The answer is, “NO.”

The Effects Of Diet Pills On Your Body

All of these are harmful to your system. If you do happen to lose any weight, it's going to be very temporary. Pill supplements are a shortcut — albeit one that's appealing because it's easy and fast. But they cost you your health in the long term.

Like anything in life, if you try to take a shortcut, it's going to backfire on you.

So the reason that these don't work is that they're changing certain pathways and certain metabolic functions. Let's say you take injections, you want to take B12 shots, or you want to take phentermine. It works in the short-term because of the physiological reaction in your body, but as soon as you take away the drug, the body not only returns to normal but there is an overcorrection. People can end up heavier than when they started the treatment.

Phentermine is a big no-no. If you ask me, I will tell you that it is street-legal meth. It's going to definitely cause you to lose weight, but it's going to do it at the expense of your thyroid and your adrenals, and also your heart.

The Risks Of Taking Diet Pills

I've had patients clients who've come in and have permanent heart damage because of the amount of phentermine that they took. It actually can damage the heart muscles. Phentermine can help you lose weight temporarily. But what happens is it stresses the thyroid. It stresses the adrenals and the body. When you come off of the phentermine, the body is going to retaliate and you'll put that weight back on, plus even more!

That is definitely not a solution if your goals are long-term weight loss. If you just want to lose weight quickly for a photo shoot or for a wedding or something like that, maybe you can do that, but it's not healthy.

The Alternative To Diet Pills

Doctor-supported weight loss programs as appose to pills focus on a natural, safe, and sustainable weight loss. We take a personal approach to weight loss and look at how your body is functioning. We will perform lab work. We will have you take a health assessment. We want to look at how the body is functioning as a whole and find the areas that need support to restore optimal health and a healthy weight.

We remove the interference so the body can function as designed. We want your body to say, “Alll right, we have everything we need. There's no need for us to store fat. We don't have to worry about famine or a shortage of nutrients. We don't have to slow down your metabolism. We can just keep going because we're good. We're healthy. We're happy. We've got a good quality of life. There's nothing that is posing an imminent threat of danger.”

Final Thought About Diet Pills

So, do weight loss pills work? Sometimes, yes, but they are going to be short-term and I can almost guarantee you're going to gain that weight back, at the expense of your health.

If you want long-term sustainable weight loss, you have to understand your body and develop a custom health plan. It starts with a consultation, a health assessment, blood work, and fact-finding.

Holiday weight gain is a daunting thought for many people. From work parties to family gatherings, temptation is everywhere. It is easy to slip into old habits and put goals on the back burner. Holidays tend to encourage overeating and the consumption of high calorie foods. On average, adults in Western societies gain one pound between the months of November and January. This might not seem like much, but for some people, that can add up throughout the years. If left unaddressed, it can become harder to lose that weight. Nonetheless, it is 100% possible to stay on track during the holidays. Here are some tips to help support your health journey this holiday season.

Many weight loss programs advertise rapid weight loss, but how do you know what's safe and what's not? Rapid weight loss could be detrimental to your health or counterproductive to your weight loss goals. There are many reasons you shouldn't try to shed pounds too quickly. When you lose weight too fast, it can lead to nutrient deficiencies and weight gain later on. Additionally, your body will start to store fat at an accelerated rate in response to the sudden drop in calories. That means that when you stop dieting, the pounds will return even faster than they went away! Being under the supervision of a trained weight loss doctor can ensure that you're losing at a healthy rate and being monitored during your weight loss journey every step of the way.

If you have arthritis, you may be concerned about your weight. Many people believe they can't lose weight if they have arthritis. This is not true! Arthritis inhibits some people from exercising due to pain and stiffness. Weight loss actually helps to reduce arthritis symptoms because as you lose weight, less strain is being put on your joints. Diet also plays a part. It's important to eat an anti-inflammatory diet to elevate discomfort associated with arthritis.

If you've been working out for several weeks and you're not losing weight, it's possible that you're gaining muscle instead of fat. When your body needs more calories than your diet provides, it turns to your fat stores for energy. The more energy your body needs to draw from the fat stores, the more weight you lose.

Weight gain and fatigue are common and go hand in hand. If you’re tired all the time, it can be hard to get motivated to exercise or eat healthier. It might not be a motivation issue, though. It might be your hormones and adrenal glands. A lot of people ask if they can lose weight without exercise, and the answer is yes. But there are some things to consider before you decide to do it.
