Initial Consultation
Dr. Supported weight loss starts with a consultation just like any other doctor’s visit. We will ask you about your health history, family history, and previous diets. We will ask about what’s worked and what hasn’t.
We will also start collecting some preliminary info like your weight, BMI, muscle mass% and body fat%. We will also ask you the basics, age, height, and other normal demographic questions.
The initial consultation is always free and there is no obligation to start the program. This is a Doctor supported weight loss program and is not for everyone. It requires a commitment, and it requires you to be open and honest about your health history.
Assessment, Testing & Blood Work
The next step in the Doctor supported weight loss program is gathering facts. Weight loss is not a one size fits all solution. We will ask you to complete a lengthy assessment. Depending on your answers, we will order blood work. We may order hormone testing. We may do digestive testing, and we may need to run some additional tests depending on what we uncover.
Diagnosis & Plan Of Attack
Now that you have all the facts. We can start to diagnosis why you are overweight. Some common issues that hold people back from losing weight are hypothyroidism, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), leaky gut, fatty liver, fibromyalgia, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, iron deficiency, various forms of anemia, nutrient deficiencies, including thiamine, riboflavin, B12 (hydroxycobalamin), vitamin d deficiency, mineral deficiencies, diminished detoxification pathway capability, etc.
Some patients even suffer from a combination of these health issues.
Your specific health at any given time makes you successful or dooms you to failure.
Success happens when we match your medical baseline to the best weight loss and health tools available.
Here’s a look at our toolbox. What we do is unique to your situation. If you need a nail, we provide the hammer. We wouldn’t give you a screwdriver. Our approach to weight loss is much the same.
